Mar 28, · I think Happy Families has perhaps slightly simpler rules, doesn't require a playing surface, but is otherwise very similar. Overall, it is a good value game. You get a pretty reasonable game for a cheap price. And you get a pretty reasonable level of depth of play for such simple rules. As soon as a player collects a book of 4 (6) cards of the same family, he must say “happy family”. The cards must be shown and then placed face down.
